Deviant Art opens tomorrow!

Join us for the opening night of Deviant Art 2011. Thursday April 7th from 5-9pm in gallery 332 of the Northrup King Building. We have work from over twenty artists and about 170 pieces of local and national works focusing on 'deviant' dog breeds. If Thursday is booked, join dog and art lovers for our big gallery party this coming Saturday from 3-9pm. Food and beverages provided! A Rotta Love Plus benefits from the art sales and will have four registered therapy dogs on-site so you can meet the animals benefiting from your support! Please note that Northrup King Building is not dog-friendly except for these invited ARLP ambassadors.

Deviant Art 2011 going up at NKB!

Today we started arranging the studio for Deviant Art! The show keeps getting better and better every year. I've made so many friends with the artists and ARLP supporters. Thank you for everything you do!

Visit the show Thursday, April 7th 5-9pm or Saturday, April 9th 3-9pm in the Northrup King Building's third floor gallery #332. Please note that NKB is not dog-friendly.

Facebook Store - Lintu Art

With a new website in the works with options like purchasing prints and ordering commissions via the web, I'm already excited for changes in the web presence of Lintu Art. Another feature just launched is the app Payvment on Lintu Art's Facebook page (see link to page on the right). Using Paypal's secure site, you can order artwork through Facebook and you don't need a Paypal account! More work will be added and please send suggestions my way.

Deviant Art: Dispelling Myths 2011

Greetings artists and fans of Deviant Art!
The 2011 show is coming together in so many exciting ways. I'm excited to see the work that these talented (and accredited...Uptown Art Fair, Stone Arch Festival, etc) artists will bring to our third annual show.

Where: Northrup King Building's third floor gallery (#332)
1500 Jackson St NE Mpls, MN 55413

When: April 7th: (First Thursday) Gallery open from 5-9pm
April 9th: (The big show!) Gallery open 3-9pm.

For Artists:
March 1st: Deadline for final art list. Email DeviantArt2011@gmail.com with an image of each piece (for records only, does not need to be quality) along with Title, Dimensions, Medium, Price and % donation of sale being donated. Please also include your mailing address.

April 3-4th: Art drop off and set-up. Sunday April 3rd work can be dropped off to Sarah Thornton's studio (#390) between Noon and 5pm. Monday, April 4th work can be dropped off and set-up within the third floor gallery (#332). Please bring business cards too!

April 9th: After 9pm artists can take unsold works.
April 10th: Noon-5pm final tear down. Unclaimed work will be shipped to artists at their expense unless otherwise coordinated with Sarah Thornton

Lintu Art 2011

Happy New Year! I'm very excited to begin 2011 with all of the ideas and projects ahead. Highlights already on the docket include: Deviant Art-Dispelling Myths III, Dogs Around the Lakes/Rivers (see 2011 schedule!), and illustrations coming to life for a beautifully written children's book. Wishing you the best and puppy biscuits to all furry friends!

Dogs Around the Lakes/Rivers 2011 plans are underway! Two dates have been set and more on the way. Check here for updates on how to have your dog represent your area.

Lintu Art is offering a special to create your pet's own card line. For $25 you can have a 4x4 original created and then order stationary for $1 each! The featured pet will have their name on the back of the card. Or you can bring your own idea for a card subject like a family member, a car or a house! To get started contact Sarah

If you're out at Mall of America, stop by the Nordstrom Pond on the lower level for Art of the Dog. Lintu Art has a multi-color bulldog on display until January 2nd. More info here
