Dogs Around the Lakes: Lake Harriet
Dogs Around the Lakes: Lake Harriet 2011. A new style for the print series with bright colors created with colored pencil/ink and just a hint of the band shell in the background. Thank you to the sixteen dogs for inspiring the artwork!
Trying new things
Yesterday, during the humid afternoon, I picked up three small linen canvases to give the surface a try. The surface was nice to work with but the weave was much more loose than the canvas I'm used to. The paint kept opening between the linen's weave. These were a fun afternoon experiment and I'm hoping to create a larger landscape in the near future.

August's First Thursday is just around the corner! Join Lintu Art in studio 390 of the Northrup King Building from 5-9pm August 4th.
Dogs Around the Lakes: Lake Nokomis is August 7th from 10-5pm. Free event! Have your dog become a candidate for the annual artwork by signing up for a ten-minute photo session: sarah.lintu@gmail.com
Photos will take place just north of the main beach on Nokomis. Plenty of parking and a great place for a summer walk. Bring water for yourself and dog if the weather is warm.

Art A Whirl and New Website
