Deviant Art: Dispelling Myths
The second annual A Rotta Love art show is coming together! We are so excited to have new artists participate and also to have sponsors for the event.
Over twenty artists will be displaying work in photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, printmaking and jewelry. We will also have youth drawings from Urban Arts and works by disabled adults from Achieve Services. Artwork will focus on the 'deviant' dog breeds such as pit bulls and rottweilers. Our goals are to highlight positive aspects of the breeds while also addressing the negative stereotypes and abuse many of these dogs face.
Where Northrup King Building's third floor gallery (1500 Jackson Street NE Mpls, MN 55419 or www.northrupkingbuilding.com)
When Preview show will coincide with First Thursday in the Arts District (all the 150+ studios in Northrup King will also be open): April 1st from 5-9pm
The big event will be April 10th from 3pm-9pm.
Why To raise funds and awareness for A Rotta Love Plus. Mingle with ARLP volunteers and dog lovers, view the art, and learn about fostering, adoption and volunteering with ARLP!
